Personalised learning -Workshop notes from Ormiston workshop 10 February 2018 Students learn at a different pace. In the old days all the students were on a bus, driven by the bus driver[teacher] and now and again it stopped at the bus stop,[exams] and then carry on with the fulllload, hopefully by the end of the journey they are all still on the bus. At Olmistton College every student have his own car and drive at different speeds in different directions, hopefully some might find their destination on time. This approached was introduced because of the different abilities of the students when they reach Year 11. Some students complete three credits in a term, many takes a year to complete one standard and then are those who crash their car or got lost on their way and took the wrong direction.With this approach, each student work at their own pace and is not limited by the bus drivers route and speed or slow down by the slow drivers.The important concept is CHOICE and place the stu...
