Thinking about learning

Literacy in the exams During the trail Chance and Data exam, it became clear how important it is to use highlighters to answer the questions. Students answer without reading  the question or using the graph properly. They are not answering the quistion asked and just write anything down. In the table , it wa sgiven as half empty.. Students have to fill in the missing parts. Half of them did'nt. The wet food and dry food  graph were swapped around ..  50 % did not swapped it around and the results were their answers were wrong although they know the work The word OR were not read and the result was they choosing only one instead of both to answer  the question. The word animal was confusing because they have to decide if insect and reptiles were animals.only then The lessons learned_Slow down--read.....read again.....underline the keywords...study the graph... only then answer the questions.
